The counselors at Life Management Institute have committed themselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that counseling is vain, unless it is founded upon and directed by the Word of God. Each counselor is credentialed by National Christian Counselors Association and the National Association of Forensic Counselors. The Christian Counselor is not a paid staff member of Life Management Institute and is supported by the counseling fees. The fee for counseling is payable by cash, check, visa, mastercard or discover prior to each session. There is no 3rd party billing. Each counselor is equipped and trained to administer a clinical questionnaire that identifies the client’s temperament. The questionnaire measures the counselee’s needs, natural traits, strengths, and weaknesses according to temperament. We believe that temperament is God-created and genetically coded in you by God at the time of your conception. Once the computerized report is completed, the qualified counselor is able to identify the counselee’s temperament problem faster and more accurately. Temperament determines how you react to people, places and things. At LMI, we offer faith-based counseling in marriage & family therapy, drug & alcohol addiction, anger management, depression, group therapy, domestic violence & crisis intervention, homosexuality, eating disorders, fear & anxiety and interpersonal relationships. The counseling model used by NCCA, focuses on enabling persons to better understand themselves and their responsibility to establish a spiritual relationship with God. Understanding temperament is a viable tool which allows counselors to emphasize the importance of yielding to God’s will and of discovering His purposed destiny for each individual’s existence. Counselors teach clients how to draw near to God, how to listen to and recognize God’s voice, how to submit to God’s will, and how to allow the Holy Spirit to become one’s constant companion, encourager and guide.

Areas of Counseling: Marriage & Family Therapy - This integrated approach includes the use of the "Arno Profile System" which is a temperament profile. The use of this profile gives the counselor an indepth look at the inidividuals God given traits. The counselor can help you see why you do or act in certain ways. It gives each person a better understanding of themselves and their spouse or family member. Length of counseling is determined on a per-case basis. Child and Adolescent Therapy - The "Arno Profile System" is also used in child and adolescent therapy. It is a great way to help a young person understand themselves and build their self-confidence. The counselor will use this tool to show them that they are not strange or weird, they are just as normal as anyone else. They will be given tools to help them understand and work with their strengths and weaknesses. Length of counseling is determined on a per-case basis. Substance Abuse and Addiction Recovery Support Services - A 6 month program for people with alcohol and substance abuse issues. The client attends a group session each week and an individual session with their counselor each month or as needed. During individual sessions the "Arno Profile System" is used to show the person their strengths and weaknesses. In doing this, they can be shown where their "triggers" are and can be given tools to help deal with them. During the group sessions, an interactive journal is used to take them through 6 areas; Substance Dependency, The First Step, Spirituality, Feelings, Relapse Prevention and Life Management. Domestic Violence/Batterer Intervention - This is a 24 week program for people with anger and domestic violence issues. It is designed to address dysfunctional behavior traits that if allowed to go unchallenged, can create detrimental resuslts. It is our desire to limit, reduce and help heal the pain and suffering caused by domestic violence.
